(MUS 45143; 1 hr. credit; Monday, Wednesday, Friday, 2:15-3:05 pm) The Kent State University Women's Chorus, conducted by Kerry Glann, is one of the major choral ensembles in the Hugh A. Glauser School of Music. Membership includes students from all disciplines who love to sing and enjoy camaraderie through great music. The chorus rehearses from 2:15 to 3:05 on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday afternoons. Emphasis is placed on developing vocal technique, music reading skills, and achieving a high standard of excellence in repertoire selected from all periods and musical styles. In addition to its regular on-campus concerts, the Women's Chorus tours each semester, frequently collaborates with other KSU ensembles, and has appeared with the Canton Symphony Orchestra. A simple voice placement test is all that is required to join. For further information contact Kerry Glann at 330-672-2485. |
