Kerry Glann, Instructor of Music, conducts the KSU Women’s Chorus, Ars Nova Singers, and the Kent Salem Community Choir and serves as an assistant to the opera program.  He also teaches Understanding Music and Music as a World Phenomenon at the Salem Campus.  He holds a bachelor’s degree in music education from Bowling Green State University and a master’s degree in choral conducting from Kent State University.  Prior to coming to Kent State, he taught vocal music in the public schools in Ottawa Hills (Toledo) and Grove City, Ohio. 

Since 1996, Glann has served as musical director and conductor for The Huron Playhouse, a professional summer theatre located in Huron, Ohio, where he has led performances of numerous musical theatre and operetta productions.  He is also chancel choir director at the United Church of Christ of Kent.
