David Mitchell performs with the nationally touring ensemble, the Burning River Brass and is a Dorian Recording Artist. He is a member of the Cleveland Opera Orchestra and also performs frequently with other Northeast Ohio orchestras including the Cleveland Orchestra, the Akron Symphony, the Canton Symphony and the Cleveland Pops Orchestra.

Outside of Ohio, Mr. Mitchell has performed with the Syracuse Symphony, the Alabama Symphony, the Charleston Symphony, the Naples Philharmonic, the Hartford Symphony, the Ft. Wayne Philharmonic and the Key West Symphony. In 1991 and again in 1995, he traveled with the National Company of "The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber."

Mr. Mitchell’s international performing experience is also quite extensive. He has toured throughout Europe with the Harlem Opera Ensemble and spent six summers in Italy performing in the prestigious Spoleto Festival, including personal brass quintet performances for its founder, the composer, Gian Carlo Menotti.. Additionally, he has done chamber music performances at City Hall in Hong Kong and played principal trombone in Phillippe Entrement’s Santo Domingo Festival in the Caribbean.
