John Sikora, Director of Opera/Assistant Professor of Voice. BM, The Ohio State University. Voice study with McHenry Boatwright, Mario Alch, John Alexander. 

Mr. Sikora has sung over twenty leading roles with regional opera companies throughout the United States ranging from Basilio/Barber of Seville, Figaro/Marriage of Figaro, Rocco/Fidelio, Leporello/Don Giovanni, Osmin/Abduction from the Seraglio. Included are professional collaborations with Boris Goldovsky, John DeMain, Barry Tuckwell, Franz Allers, Robert Page, John Readon, Carol Neblett, Diana Soviero, Erie Mills, and Elizabeth Holleque. He was heard in the World Premier of Holy Blood and Crescent Moon at Cleveland Opera, and was guest artist in the American Premier of Martinu’s War Requiem at the Cleveland Museum of Art. His solo concert engagements include Handel’s Messiah/Toledo, Akron, and Canton Symphonies; Mozart's Requiem/Ohio Chamber Orchestra & Erie Philharmonic; and Beethoven’s 9th/Mansfield Symphony. 

Mr. Sikora has taught at Ashland University and Lorain County Community College in Ohio, is currently on the faculty at the Baldwin Wallace College Conservatory of Music, and is a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing. Mr. Sikora resides in Central Ohio where he continues to direct a local church choir as well as a community chorus throughout the year.
