Welcome to the John Mack Oboe Camp!

June 11-18, 2010
Now Accepting Applications

Some places have a life about them. WILDACRES is such a place. High atop Pompey’s Knob, 1400 acres near Little Switzerland, NC, the Blue Ridge Mountains meet a clear blue sky. The view takes ones breath away. A place of supreme beauty, and committed since 1946 to advancing the arts, natural sciences, religion and to the betterment of human relations. Lodging is modern and comfortable, set in scenic isolation several hundred yards off the Blue Ridge Parkway or routes 221 and 226, an hour from the Ashville, NC airport. A shuttle can be arranged.

A $595 fee covers room and board and all instructional charges. Admission is open to college-age oboists, professionals, teachers who desire a "refresher course" and a limited number of advanced high school oboists.

A limited number of auditors will be accepted for a $525 fee, which covers room and board as well as instructional charges.

A $100 deposit should accompany all applications. Until your deposit is received, your application is considered pending. At this time we only accept checks and money orders. All fees must be paid in US dollars. The remaining balance is due by May 1. A $30 CHARGE FOR CHECKS RETURNED BY THE BANK.
