MainStreet
Group Purchasing Coop Offers Savings
To Network Members' Purchases of Business
Products & Services
Members
of Ohio's Employee Owned Network are eligible for substantial savings on their
purchase of business services and ancillary products as the OEOC has signed an
affiliation agreement with MainStreet Cooperative Group. MainStreet is in the
business of negotiating preferred purchasing programs with approved vendors.
Through
our affiliation with MainStreet and its 12 other purchasing groups representing
over $6 billion in purchasing power, Network members will benefit in two ways:
- better pricing and services
and
- a rebate paid annually as a patronage dividend based upon their amount
of purchases.
In
addition to negotiating programs on our behalf, MainStreet will also inform Network
members of new programs as they are introduced. They will audit the programs annually
to ensure that they are as competitive as possible, and they will pay an annual
rebate back to OEOC that will offset some of our expenses. In turn, we will share
that rebate with Network members through an annual patronage dividend.
Network
members have no out-of-pocket costs for using MainStreet's Preferred Vendor Partners.
MainStreet's fee of $100 per Network member per year that participates in the
Group Purchasing Coop will be deducted from dividends accrued during each year
of affiliation.
MainStreet
has established or is in the process of establishing 24 programs with Preferred
Vendor Partners. The OEOC will be rolling out these programs to Network members
as quickly as we can.
