Application Deadline -  Rolling Admissions: Action is taken on your application when all application materials are received by the Office of International Affairs.   We respond within two business days.
Applicants must be in good standing at their home college or university with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.

Application items should be mailed to OIA/Van Campen Hall/KSU, P.O. Box 5190,  Kent, OH 44242-0001.  You should send items as you complete them so we can begin your file.  We have had a waiting list in the past.  A complete list of application items follows:

Program Application Form with a $30.00 check/money order payable to OIA-Kent State University. This is a non-refundable application fee.

Transient Application Form is required of all non-Kent students, to be accompanied by a $10.00 check or money order payable to OIA-Kent State University. This is a non-refundable matriculation fee. The application fee and transient application fee can be paid with one check/money order.

Official Transcripts for all college/university course work.

Transcript Release Authorization must be signed so your grades can be sent to you and your registrar at the end of the semester.

Letters of Recommendation from two college/university faculty members who have had you in class as a student.

Agreement/Release Form.

Parental Permission Form if you are less than the age of majority in your state of residence (it is 18 in Ohio).

Photographs: Six identical (or nearly identical) and acceptable (for example, no caps) passport size photographs, taken against a light background. These photos are used for a variety of items such as a bus pass, Geneva Semester Handbook and international student identification card. 

You do not need a passport to apply to the program.  Your passport number and expiration date are required before you can leave for Geneva.  The U.S. State Department website has information on passport application procedures.
