Budapest
is on the Danube: Buda -west
bank and Pest-east bank.
In 1956 it was the scene of the Hunargian Revolution. That event
was a bloody one as the patriots attacked Soviet tanks with what was
known as a Molotov Cocktail, gasoline in a bottle with a
piece of cloth torched by a match as the fuse. Soviet troops left
the country in 1991. Castle hill is worth the view and the steam
baths are world-renowned. Budapest
is
a walkable city.
