ORIENTATION

"The Geneva semester is a wonderful opportunity for anyone interested in learning about different cultures, with the mix of people from around the world, I met people from all over and through that was able to enhance my experience."   Lisa, Kent State University, spring 2005

Our objectives for interns are:
►  To gain valuable work experience with an international organization. contribute to the sponsoring organization.
►  To synthesize their experience and participate in a seminar (usually 3 to 4) during the semester on topics such as careers in international relations or the U. S. Department of State.

The agencies providing internships change depending on their needs and circumstances.

Interns are expected to maintain high professional standards.  They are often under pressure and the assignment may involve work on Fridays. Internships are voluntary - unpaid in nature. Your work will be graded and you will receive academic credit for Public Service - POL 40992.  While the internship is a challenging experience, the overwhelming majority of interns consider it an invaluable one. We do our best to arrange internships for qualified students. Applicants will learn if they have an internship upon arrival in Geneva.
