Geneva's location makes Europe's culturally rich and historic venues easily accessible with your Eurail Pass.  Their one-week break during the semester and a Monday through Thursday class schedule allows for weekend travel. 

►  The two-month Eurail Global Youth Pass provides you with virtually unlimited free travel on the continent's extensive rail network:  Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Republic of Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg,  Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland.  

Geneva is an excellent location for many day and weekend trips.

Skiing:
  Several ski and snowboard slopes are nearby; for example, Chamonix and Champery are 2 1/2 hours by train, Zermatt is roughly 4 hours
and several others are closer to Geneva.  Many students (novices included) take advantage of the lift and transportation packages offered by the bus and train offices in Geneve.  Excellent equipment can be rented in Switzerland.

Amsterdam:  9 - 10 hrs. day train. 14 night train
Barcelona:  9 hrs.
Berlin:  10 to 11 hrs. day. 14+ night
Bruxelles:   6 to 7 hrs. day train via Paris
Firenze:   9
hrs. via Milano
London:  7+ hrs. day train
Milano:  5 hrs.
Munich:  7 to 8+ hrs.
Normandy:  5 hrs. via Paris
Roma:  10 hrs. via Milano
Paris:  4 hrs. (3 1/2 via the TGV)
Praha:  15 to 16 hrs. for day and night trains
Venezia:  8 hrs. via Milano
