The clinic is open weekdays from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with evening appointments available. Persons desiring services should call the Clinic at (330) 672-2372, or stop by to fill out initial paperwork. A therapist will call to schedule an appointment.
We do not provide walk-in services.
Persons wishing to make referrals to the Clinic should contact the Assistant Director at 330 672-2372 or have the client to be referred contact the Clinic directly. With the exception of actively suicidal or psychotic individuals and those for whom alcohol or drug abuse is the primary problem, we are reasonably flexible in whom we will accept for treatment. Any questions should be directed to the Assistant Director or to T. John Akamatsu, Ph.D., Director of the Clinic (330 672-2048).
Cost
Most clinical services are free for Kent State University students. A sliding scale fee system is used for clients from the community and University faculty and staff are charged half of the usual sliding scale.
Neuropsychological assessments are $250, though a sliding scale fee system may also be available for some persons.

The clinic is located in 176 Kent Hall on the first floor of the building to the right of the archway.
For non-students, parking permits are available for the R-15 lot behind the building off Terrace Drive. Enter Terrace Drive from Main Street.
