COMMITTEE EVENTS

Taste of Diversity: The Multicultural and Diversity Committee hosts a Taste of Diversity potluck in the spring and fall of each year. Students and faculty prepare a wide range of delicious ethnic foods and the department is invited to sample these over some good conversation!

Night at the Movies: The Multicultural and Diversity Committee hosts Night at the Movies each year.  We show films that focus on a wide range of subject matters and explore important cultural and diversity themes.  In addition, we are also particularly interested in showing films that reflect artistic vision and introduce us to ethnic/international filmmaking talent.

Undergraduate seminars: Each year, the Multicultural and Diversity Committee and Psi Chi host a panel of psychology graduate students from different areas (i.e. experimental, clinical, school, counseling, etc).  Panelists provide undergraduate students information regarding: career choices, differences between the areas of psychology, how to prepare for graduate school, and their experiences while in graduate school.  Undergraduates from minority groups and diverse backgrounds are encouraged to attend the seminar in order to increase their representation among future psychology and counseling professionals.
