Education: Ph.D., Kent State University (2007)

Research Interests

My research interests fall broadly into two areas, personality assessment and psychopathology. I am particularly interested in the interaction between personality and psychopathology in terms of shared underlying mechanisms and hierarchical structure. My research has especially focused on psychopathy and its association with personality and neurocognition. In terms of assessment, my research has centered on the MMPI-2 and MMPI-2-RF with a primary focus on emphasizing construct validity in scale interpretation. I am also interested in forensic assessment applications of these and other instruments, including their utility in detecting various forms of response bias (e.g., malingering) and providing information regarding future re-offending.
