Dr. Johnson currently serves as the director of Kent State's Deaf Education Program and Professor of Special Education.  He holds a Doctorate in Education from the University of Cincinnati in Special Education/Deafness, Master of Education in Special Education/Emotionally Disturbed, and a Bachelor's degree in Special Education/Deafness.  In addition to his academic career, Dr. Johnson has served on the Memphis Board of Education as their Deafness/Autism specialist, Cleveland Board of MRDD as a program consultant, and Ohio Department of Education as an MRDD Language Consultant.  Dr. Johnson is married and has two children.
