Getting Connected
Staying Involved

The life of a man consists not in seeing visions and in dreaming dreams, but in active charity and in willing service.
Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

Alumni - Staying Involved

We welcome Alumni into our chapter with enthusiasm. We value your experience and appreciate your commitment to continue your support of Mortar Board ideals.

The Alumni Sustaining Membership Dues are $25 per year. Of that amount, Mortar Board, Inc. allocates $10 to support the operations of Mortar Board, Inc., $10 to support the programming initiatives of the National Foundation and $5 to the alumni or collegiate chapter of your choice. Dues are paid and allocated on a calendar year basis.

The benefits of the Alumni Sustaining Membership include:

  • Continued contact with Mortar Board even if you live in an area not covered by alumni or collegiate chapters.
  • Opportunity to support your collegiate chapter, a local chapter, or an alumni chapter.
  • Contributing to the National Foundation in support of Leadership Initiatives and Fellowships.
  • Being involved in the nomination/awarding process of the Alumni Achievement Awards.
  • Opportunity to participate in the annual National Conference.
  • Being a part of an active alumni network for visible extension of the Mortar Board ideals.
  • Chance to enroll in the Mortar Board credit card program which returns funds to the Foundation Fellowship program.

Sponsorship is another way you can support the Laurels. Your financial gift will be used to benefit the Chapter. Currently, sponsor gifts could be used to fund National Mortar Board Conference Travel Scholarships and the purchasing of our very own white initiation ceremony robes. These topics will be discussed at our All Member Retreat and the results will be posted shortly.
