| Event Description: |
We are planning to set up a table in the
student center and invite passing students/faculty/visitors
to create a Valentine's Day Card using crafty supplies
we provide. In exchange we'll give them a Hershey's kiss
with a clever Mortar Board bookmark or something stuck
to it. The cards will be taken to local area nursing
homes. Chairs need to get permission to set up the table,
organize your volunteers, and establish a relationship
with a nursing home. We need volunteers to gather supplies,
create some sample boards, design and create the Mortar
Board marketing item, man the tables, and deliver the
Valentine's Day Cards. |

for Mortar Board!! During formal tapping, with faculty
permission, a group of 3-5 members enters the classroom
of a new member candidate. After announcing who we are,
what Mortar Board is, we honor the person who applied
by announcing that they've been selected for membership.
We'll need several groups of 3-5 members each in order
to "tap" all of the new candidates. Formal
tapping is an prestigious event. It helps increase our
visibility while recognizing our new members for their
success. |

to assemble modular play houses that will be auctioned
off to benefit children in the Biloxi Mississippi area.

provided through Ann Gosky and the KSU United for Biloxi
initiative. |
