National Mortar Board, Inc.You can contact the National Office using the following information: Office hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:30pm (est) Or visit their website anytime! Located on the campus of The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio, the National Office supports local chapters in a variety of ways. They organize our National Conference and are the source of all chapter records and supporting Chapter Resources including an extensive Officer Handbook complete with Advisor Section. They also maintain alumni contacts, the Mortar Board Foundation, a Career Network database and the National Archives of Mortar Board. The National Office is also the source for all your official Mortar Board Merchandise needs!
Local Chapters are organized by region and provided a Section Coordinator through the National Office. Ohio is split into two regions, Section 10 and 11, both coordinated by Jennifer Nelson-Carney. Section Coordinators maintain contact with local chapters, participating as active liaisons between the National Office and members and facilitating Section interaction. This year a Section Project is being planned which will give members from all the chapters in Ohio the opportunity to meet each other and combine our efforts in a very rewarding and fun new project. Committee Chairs for this "mystery" project stepped forward during the National Conference and we are all very anxious to hear what they are planning for us.
National Conference
Conference attendees also experience a formal initiation ceremony, as it is performed by The Ohio State University, followed by an Alumni Awards luncheon. Later that evening a Candlelight Banquet honors chapters in the order in which they joined the National organization. Each event provides a sense of pride and inspiration for the attendees to take home and cherish. Thank you to our National Mortar
