Leaf Raking

What comes down must be raked up! Fall brings the sweet smell of apple cider and the wondrous sight of autumn leaves as they turn to glorious shades of crimson, orange, and vibrant yellow. Eventually they land in a sea of crunchy waves beneath our feet. Most of us are fortunate to have the strength to manage our own raking chores, some of our elderly citizens do not. |
| Over the years, the Laurels Chapter has developed a relationship with one family with a yard too large to handle on their own. In exchange for a little hot chocolate and maybe a treat or two, we rake and bag as many leaves as possible in a single afternoon. |  |

This year the Laurels doubled the number of participants in this project. YEAH!! We raked up over 60 bags of leaves and created a pile in the back yard for burning this size of a small shed. All this in under three hours... |
