Text Box: Well members, this is the last newsletter of the semester before summer break begins! I would like to wish all of our graduating members good luck and congratulations on graduating! In addition, I would also like to wish our returning members good luck with the remaining years of your college career! Enjoy it and make the most of it because it goes faster than you think!

Here is what AMA has been and will be doing for the rest of the semester!
IX Center::
The remaining dates to go are April 11-13. You will receive 25 blue chip points for the first hour you participate and 15 for every hour following that. If you need to car pool, contact e-board and transportation can be arranged!
Text Box: Guys Pizza Fundraiser:
So far, AMA has raised about $400 from our Guy’s fundraiser!! Great job to those who participated! We will be doing this fundraiser a few more times before the end of the year, so come to the Wednesday meetings to find out when or check your email!
Relay for life:
We will update everyone on more details and when you can sign up ASAP. If you have any questions, contact Maggie at mdreussi@kent.edu.
We are also planning on having a booth at Relay for Life which starts at 10am April 26th and goes until 10am on April 27th. If you are interested in joining the Relay for Life team please let one of our e-board members know and we will add you to the list. We are looking Text Box: to have about 10 people so that no one has to stay 24 hours straight.
Alumni comeback:
AMA is also holding an Alumni Comeback and end of the semester auction, which are described in more detail on page 2.
On a final note, for all of our non-graduating members: Please try and persuade your friends that are marketing majors or just friends that are interested in marketing that are not already members to join in the fall because we are always looking for as many people to join as possible! As you know, AMA is a great resume builder, a fantastic professional development organization, and we have a great time to boot! Just a few of many great reasons to join AMA!

Winding Down for the Semester

Highlights from the Big Easy...

Text Box: “Dig it all”...that was the theme of this year’s AMA Collegiate Conference that was held in New Orleans. Well, our chapter “dug it all” and came out shining! Our AMA chapter won Outstanding Professional Development (see group with award above left) and the Case Competition team was awarded with an honorary mention (see team at right)! Congratulations to everyone in our chapter that helped us achieve these accomplishments!!
Text Box: Overall, there was a total of 1,300 attendees at the conference which included students from all over the country. The members who attended the conference for our KSU chapter were Kaylee Hills, Wil Christe, Kim Gebhardt, Sabrina Witkowski, Becky Blevins, Angela Mass, Trisha Bates, Maggie Dreussi, Lindsay Furbee, Shan Wilson, Matt Miu and last but definitely not least, our fantastic advisor Dr. Johnson (a.k.a. JWiggs)! In addition to the awards, we have gained insight on how to make our chapter better than ever for next year!
