ANNOUNCEMENTS
Blue will be on the May 4th Task Force scholarship committee.
We will be decorating the showcase and hanging a banner advertising the April 4th scholarship committee.
Try to attend the International Week forum on globalization Friday at 11:00-1:00 PM in White Hall (in the Read Room)
Get more petitions signed! (Don't print any more out. We have tons of them. Ask around, you shouldn't have any trouble getting a hold of some.)
We discussed providing information packets to other student organizations, including:
Tuesday, March 6th, at 5:00--CHANGE will be meeting with the Student Senate in the Governance Chambers to inform them of our work and get their backing. Come if you can.
CHANGE is buying the rights to the domain name www.kentchange.org for one year (renewable at the end of the year). It will cost $12 a year. This will enable people to easily remember our web address, and make it easier to promote our organization. Mike will take care of it.
Committee Discussion: We will take part in the Administration's second committee on Code of Conduct/Monitoring. We are filing a recommendation that it be made up of 6 students, 3 faculty, and 3 staff, with clear and consise deadlines. There is prescendence for this kind of committee composition at Ohio State, and so it is not unreasonable.
We will meet again with Jim Watson at 3 PM on Tuesday.
THE TIME IS NOW!
It is time to step up the pace in the Campaign for a Sweat-Free KSU. Start churning out letters to the Stater, and any other media you can access. Get other organizations to draft resolutions in support of our goals as stated in our petition (plus KSU membership in the WRC). Talk to people about it every chance you get, and let people know why the WRC is the best monitoring organization. Stronger measures may be taken as circumstance dictates, so make sure you are on the Event Alert List. Speak out, Speak out, SPEAK OUT!
NEXT WEEK'S AGENDA (March 8, 2001)
We didn't really get a chance to make an Agenda for next week, but we will probably be reporting back from Watson and working on April 4th. Also, Oren wants to present his ideas on Consensus.
