FOCUS
For the coming semester we talked about supporting the SEED campaign to kck
Bosie papers corp. off campus. We would focus on the economic issues
associated with the company. We also thought we would focus on globalization
and sweatshops(?), but continue to have a local focus related to the larger
themes such as fair trade coffee. We had a few other ideas for Kent related
issues such as required health insurance and tuition hikes, that we may pursue
as if we have the strength and desire.
Dr. Bronner's
The owner of Dr. Bronner's Magic Soaps would like to come to Kent to talk about his product and his business. CHANGE has decided this would be a good idea. This would be happening the first of second week of November. Bronner hopes to have a
workshop with a farly good turnout and might also speak at the co-op.
Alright y'all, our next meeting is August 26 at 6:00pm in the Kent Student Center. Look at the list next to the elevator to see the room.

Small Group Field
CHANGE is going to have a table at the blast off. At least of one person will
be at the table throughout the night. If you would like to set up we are
meeting at 4:15 in the CHANGE office. Your presence would be greatly
appreciated. Mike will take the banner somewhere to have it displayed. We
are going to have a spin the wheel game to draw attention to the table. We
will be working on the wheel and the other props through out the week in the
CHANGE office. Please stop and help if you can. We may also have live music
provided by Casey and Tim.
