AGENDA
I. Fair Trade Coffee
II. Homecoming
III. POCLAD

I.Fair Trade Coffee (FTC)
What the posse brought to the table...
Ellen- info from the web from DWGG coffee campaign & Global Exchange. The experienced students from other campuses have shared info. with us. We can look at the process they went through to get FTC on their campus. And we also got info. from Global Exchange. To look more into www.globalexchange.org.

Megan-got the info for andrea spandonis= resident director of dining services and representative of Sodexho. Ms. Parsons is the head lady of all dinning programs. The university has an Industry Advisory Board. Both Spandonis and A. LoPresti, a supplier of food, sit on this board. Gordon Food Services (GFS) and A. LoPresti are the dominant suppliers of food and dinning needs on campus. Some of the current coffee brands on campus are: Seattle's Best (Jazzman's), Starbuck's (Student Center cafeteria), and the Gourmet Bean (cafeterias).

Mike- researched fair trade prices. so far found out that FTC is about middle of the road when comes to price. As of Tues. Morning the cheapest price from the co-op is about $6.50 per pound of whole bean.

Morgan-still in the process of getting in contact with RAs.

Danielle- didn't find anything really in opposition to FTC. found that making it a monopoly isn't against the law.

Tasks for the coming week...
Shaun-contact Andrea about prices, her position, and will invite her to a meeting. Ellen and Megan are interested in joining him.
Morgan-is meeting the library computer lab to do research on the social consciousness of FTC. 12-3pm. She will continue to pursue RA programming. People are encouraged to join her.

II.Homecoming
we are going to send in the form. Perhaps resurrect the caterpillar (see Julie Gumerman). Possibly a working group for next week. Until then collect supplies that could be used for the parade.

III.POCLAD (Program on Corporations, Law, & Democracy)
CHANGE is going to sponsor the tour coming to KSU Tues., Nov. 19th. Were are going to apply to allocations for $1500. Morgan will work on the allocations form with Mike and Lauren. (thought not discussed at the meeting -do we want to figure in advertising $?). CHANGE will be responsible for advertising. We will speak to other organizations- KSU Greens and ARA- to see if interested.

**Ellen will speak to Jim Watson about the WRC, contact info. for Follet, and get an update on the thoughts about the Fair trade polos.
