Pat met with Watson. They put in an order for the polo shirts and will sell them at cost. Concern is we will need to check more into the FLA/WRC. JULIE AND MIKE will call Watson this week and make sure that shirt orders went through and everything is going well.
GROW
Does CHANGE want to go to a grassroots student leader training in Chicago? Nov. 9-11. Created by USAS. There are people from CHANGE that are currently interested in going. Conference is free but will need to pay for travel. MIKE will call and find out about housing and other info.
S&M
On Oct 19 across the country there will be Dump S&M actions. Do we want to take part?
SEPT 11
Applied Conflict Management will be having a panel discussion and are in need of more panelists. This will take place on Oct 22 in the Kiva. JULIE GUMERMAN will represent CHANGE on the panel.
LIVING WAGE
Susan from Jobs with Justice will come next week and talk about LW. MEGAN will make flier. MIKE will invite people pro-living wage City Council candidates to this event.
Coalition is working on surveys with the voters in Kent to see what they think of LW. On Oct. 16 there will be an AFSCME meeting MIKE will attend and be a speaker. MIKE will also email the time of the meeting to the listserv.
HOMECOMING
Float is currently being worked on at the gallary downtown. If interested in working on float or walking in the parade contact JULIE.
