Nicole will talk to Jim Dunlap about giving away fair trade coffee (jdunlap@kent.edu (330) 672-3111). We will create a fact sheet or something to pass out about Fair Trade coffee.

(THE CHANGE BANNER IS MISSING. DO YOU KNOW WHERE IT IS?)

Gender Equality for Fair Pay at KSU
Whether CHANGE takes this on as a campaign depends on Christine. Mike has contacted Christine about her joining CHANGE for the campaign. We will bring it up next semester.

Davis Besse
The Lemonade Stand was a success!
Now what are we going to do with the cards?
We will continue to collect cards throughout the week. Morgan and Lauren will meet with people at 1:00pm on Friday in the center of the Hub tables. They will collect the cards and hand deliver them to Carol's office. Ellen will create a cover letter to send with the cards explaining who we are, what we want, and asking for a meeting time. And then email it to Megan?. During finals week either Megan or Morgan will call to set up an appointment to meet with Carol. Megan and Morgan are interested in meeting with Carol to talk about time bomb.

Code of Conduct
Ellen will call Jim W. to see if the code has been extended to the athletic department and to see if the UCIRI shirts are in.
Ellen will ask that the committee to review the code be created timely.
It is time for people to start thinking about whether they would like to be on the committee. Are you interested? for info about the code visit CHANGE's website www.kentchange.org.

April 4th Student Labor Day of Action
April 4th next year is on a Friday.
March 31st if Caesar Chavez Day. Caesar Chavez was a migrant farm labor organizer and a leader of Hispanic human rights back in the day. Jobs with Justice (the coordinators of SLAP)are suggesting that we use April 4th to focus on Chavez and King Jr. (Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated April 4, 1968.)

Thoughts for this event:
>We should apply for allocations money as soon as possible. It is going fast. Applications for money must be in at least six weeks before the event.
>Fair Trade Coffee workshops- Maybe get people with more authority than us. Maybe Equal Exchange or Global Exchange
>POCLAD have them come to speak
>Dr. Bronner's Magic Soap do workshops
>Michael Moore
>Baldamar Valasquez- Leader of FLOC->Ellen will look into.

Definite's for the event:
*David Rovics for April 4th or not at all. Possibly hook him up with a speaker.->Mike will organize with David.
*Bread and Puppet Theater April 13th. Mixing art and politics.->Mike will get price and other needed info.

Meeting for next semester
Same time (6:00pm) and same night (Mondays). Room TBA.

Fair Trade Coffee
No new news from David B. about the Fair trade coffee in the Library.

Ellen is working on the talking points and a flyer.
Ideas: Look at the current coffee industry and factory farms. Possibly use the big folding boards to tell story of factory farm coffee and fair trade coffee- to be used at tables. A small flyer would correspond with the boards. Incorporate into workshop.

C)Schedule meeting times for winter break:
Monday, December 16 6:00pm at Nicole's?
Tuesday, December 17 6:00pm at Nicole's?
Tuesday, January 7 6:00pm at Nicole's?

B)Talking points=Ellen is working on them

A)Workshop--Bring posterboard, talking points, food, and ideas to be incorporated into workshop to the meetings above.->Mike will bring some posterboard.

NEXT MEETING: Working on Workshop...
