Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels
January 23, 8PM in the KIVA Four Jack-the-lads find themselves heavily - seriously heavily - in debt to an East End hard man and his enforcers after a crooked card game. Overhearing their neighbours in the next flat plotting to hold up a group of out-of-their-depth drug growers, our heros decide to stitch up the robbers in turn. In a way the confusion really starts when a pair of antique double-barrelled shotguns go missing in a completely different scam.

Brick
February 6, 8PM in the KIVA The lonely teenager Brendan finds his former girlfriend Emily dead in the entrance of a tunnel of sewage and recalls her phone call two days ago, when she said to him that she was in trouble. Brendan met bad elements of his high-school trying to contact her, and when he succeeded, she told him that she was OK. He hides her body in the tunnel and decides to investigate the meaning and connection of four words, including "brick" and "pin", that Emily told him to find who killed her. Using the support of his nerd friend Brain, he unravels the motives why Emily was killed and plots a revenge.
Perfume
February 13, 8PM in the KIVA Jean-Baptiste Grenouille, born in the stench of eighteenth century Paris, develops a superior olfactory sense, which he uses to create the world's finest perfumes. His work, however, takes a dark turn as he tries to preserve scents in the search for the ultimate perfume.
Shaolin Soccer
February 20, 8PM in the KIVA A shaolin kung-fu practitioner is seeking a way to spread the word about his chosen art. He meets a down-on-his-luck lame ex-soccer player who trains him and his five brothers to play soccer. They form a team, and are soon entered in a prestigious tournament with a 1 million dollar prize.
Tsotsi
February 27, 8PM in the KIVA In Johannesburg, the small time criminal Tsotsi is a teenager without feelings, hardened by his tough life. After killing a man with his gang in a robbery, Tsotsi hijacks a car and shoots a woman in the stomach. While driving the car, Tsotsi finds that there is a baby on the back seat. He brings the baby to his house in the slum. For six days, the baby changes his behavior, arousing and developing the sense of empathy and humanity in the cold-blooded killer.
Babel
March 12, 8PM in the KIVA In Morocco, a shepherd buys a powerful rifle for his sons to protect his herd of goats against jackals attack. The younger decides to test the weapon's range of 3 km and shoots an American woman in bus. Her husband is trying the reconciliation of their lives through vacation in Morocco. Due to the incident, in San Diego their Mexican maid travels to Mexico with their children for the marriage of her son. Meanwhile in Tokyo, the police tries to contact the former owner of the rifle, and his daughter misunderstands the reason of the investigation.
3 Extremes
March 26, 8PM in the KIVA Memories: A woman wakes up on a street without memory. A husband cannot remember why his wife left him. The woman wanders the streets trying to contact the only phone number she has on her. The husband sees her ghost in his apartment and discovers her mutilated body in a large bag in his home. The Wheel: Extravagant cursed puppets cause fires, deaths, physical pain and a little girl to be possessed. Going Home: A father goes in search of his missing son and is abducted by a strange man. The stranger's wife has died of cancer three years prior but he keeps her in his apartment under the impression she will 'wake up'.
Munich
April 11, 8PM in the KIVA During the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich, eleven Israeli athletes are taken hostage and murdered by a Palestinian terrorist group known as Black September. In retaliation, the Israeli government recruits a group of Mossad agents to track down and execute those responsible for the attack.
Buffalo 66
April 16, 8PM in the KIVA Billy Brown has been in jail, but his parents think that he's married and successful. When he can't find anywhere in Buffalo where he can pee, he runs desperately into a dance studio to use the washroom. He winds up kidnapping a dance student, Layla to bring home and show off to his parents. |
