co·a·li·tion [kO-&-'li-sh&n] noun

Etymology: French, from Latin coalesce
Date: 1612
1 a : the act of coalescing : UNION b : a body formed by the coalescing of orig. distinct elements : COMBINATION
2 : a temporary alliance of distinct parties, persons, or states for joint action. Mirriam Webster.

As a coalition we recognize the fact that many of us would have never met, had there not been a common purpose to draw us together. As such, we recognize that the many friendships we have formed over the years are the icing in the equation, not the reason for our existence. The work is our reason for existence. While civility and candor are necessary at all times, indeed friendships are precious icing. While we have kept the name KNPC (by multiple votes) over the years, we are by no means restricted to neopagans. KNPC has become a haven for people of all faiths, particularly focused on non-mainstream religions, but those of mainstream religions are welcome within our doors as well. We strive at all times to maintain religious tolerance amongst ourselves, and continually promote such without.
