Four Decades of dynanite theatre - hundreds of productions - thousands of artists - and a million or more patrons! We have so much to celebrate this summer and I invite you to join us for all three shows! This is going to be our biggest and best season ever with two spectacular musicals and a world premiere! We are going to celebrate our history by making history in grand style and with "4th of July" fun. We launch the season with Cole Porter’s hit musical ANYTHING GOES which opened In 1934, was revived in 1962 and again in 1987. With a history of recording-breaking runs, this laugh-out-loud, toe-tapping musical is the perfect way to start a dynamite season.
ANYTHING GOES will be followed by an original adaptation of Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass. This world premiere entitled ALICE . . . will be adapted and directed by Matthew Earnest who dazzled young and old alike with his award-winning PETER PAN last season.
“Four Decades of Dynamite Theatre” will explode with our season finale: THE MUSIC MAN. This great American musical features the hits: Seventy-Six Trombones, Goodnight Ladies, Goodnight My Someone, andTil There Was You.
Porthouse Theatre is not only celebrating Four Decades of Dynamite Theatre but also four decades of the best patrons ever!
